Capturing Events

Events are the core of Proofwork. Every photo, checklist, note, or inventory log is an event — a permanent, immutable record of field activity.

Every event captures:

FieldDescription
TimestampWhen the event occurred (automatic)
LocationGPS coordinates (automatic)
PhotosVisual proof of work done
WorkerWho captured the event
WorkflowWhich job this event belongs to
ThingWhat site/equipment the work was on
  1. Open Proofwork on your phone
  2. Scan the site’s QR code (or select from your workflows)
  3. Follow the checklist requirements
  4. Take photos as prompted
  5. Submit — the event is now permanent

No signal? Proofwork works offline. Events are stored locally and synced when you’re back online. You’ll never lose capture because of bad reception.

Proofwork supports multiple event types:

  • Photo events — images with time and location
  • Checklist events — completed requirement items
  • Note events — text observations
  • Inventory events — materials used or moved

Events appear in the workflow timeline, the thing’s history, and the global event feed. You can filter by date, worker, thing, or workflow type.
